The park is also hosts a free summer concert series and Sunday farmers market. Additional events include an Easter Egg Hunt, monthly food truck events, Fourth of July Parade, and Founders Day celebration.
For quieter outdoor outings, there’s the Jensen Botanical Garden. The three-and-a-
half acre garden is lush with oaks, coastal redwoods, magnolias, azaleas, dogwoods, and Japanese maples.
The Chautauqua Playhouse is a cultural hub in the community, producing plays and musicals for kids and grownups alike throughout the year. The Playhouse is located in the La Sierra Community Center, which is also home to the Sacramento Fine Arts Center.
